Here is miss Mette....the Fairy Princess Ballerina....This was her outfit for daycare on Friday....Tomorrow she will be a snow princess and Gabe will be a zombie doctor! It should be a good time!  Today was a great day ~ I worked at Pinewood in my pit of a room for just under 4 hours- I did get a lot done but oh lord do I have more to do! This afternoon we carved pumpkins.....

Our neighbor and good friend Erin and her daughter Vivi came over to carve pumpkins with us....Gabe's is the on the left, Mette's is in the middle (with the heart shaped nose), and Jerry's is on the right. We had a really good time and are looking forward to making pumpkin seeds tomorrow for the first time! They are drying out on the counter as I type!
Jerry is going to try a new item for grilling tomorrow...for those of you that know my husband well - know he is the MASTER of the grill. No kidding- I really married up in the grilling department - not that my parents can't grill but Jerry learned from his dad and we have friends from all over who are willing to come to our home if they know he is grilling. Sorry ...had to toot his horn a little...back to the new grilling item.....Drum roll please......BRISQUETTE.....oh lordy...it will be a good day to sit on the coach, watch the VIKINGS kick some butt, and have a good old fashion BBQ! Oh then there is Trick or Treating too! What a great day we will have!
He's number 16!

They played at the Dome! They won in overtime! It was awesome!

I am adding to this some old pictures of Gabe playing football this season- he has gotten quite good if I do say so myself. Papa bet him for each game he didn't flop on the field like a fish out of water he would give him $5.00- now papa's can do this and I must say it sure worked and Gabe is now the proud owner of a very nice and big airsoft gun. He and his cousins in Brewster play "games" with them outside at Thanksgiving, Easter, and every other time they can get to see each other. Gabe is totally excited to show them his new toy!

Here was Mette and her best friend Ella performing for us at home...they had many different names, many different ORIGINAL songs, and a whole lot of fun! They could have gone on for hours and I am sure this is not the last time the "Judy Robins Band" or "The Beatles" will put on a show!

Well...that is all for now! We are off to have a "FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT" next to playing with Ella, this is Mette's FAVORITE thing to do. She must ask us 5 or more times a night if we can have a family movie..with popcorn, m&m's and LOTS of cuddles! The movie Bedtime Stories is what is playing at the Severson home tonight....I am sure it will be wonderful!

Bring on FRIDAY!

As a teacher I look forward to this day the most every week! This week is no different - other than the fact that my 2nd graders are going to be out of their minds by 2 pm when our party starts! It is so fun to watch how excited they are each year for Halloween to be here! On the same note....Monday is going to stink...and Tuesday too for that matter. As they all are on their sugar highs and come down off of them when the first round of candy overload has come to an end. Oh those are FUN days :-)

As for my family- Mette has a dress up daycare party today- she just spent the last 15 minutes (she has been up since 5:40) choosing what to wear- Final costume is....Fairy balerina princess.....wings, a tutu, crown (supplied by my wonderful sister and her husband from their vacation to Califorina last year) and all the jewlels she can fit on her fingers, wrists, and neck! Gabe is excited for the first after school, Middle School activity night. This is great as it is right after school until about 5 - wonderful! He is also excited about carving pumpkins tomorrow and going trick or treating with his cousins in Albertville!

I will attempt to post pictures of the kids later- for now off to get ready- I just may drink coffee today (for those who know me well- I HATE COFFEE)- but I will have to find some way to rev myself up or I will be eaten alive today!

The are great pictures and we can't wait to hang them up on our wall! Thanks so much Anne!

Blogging Day 1....what in the hell am I doing????

So this is the beginning of a new adventure for me...blogging...oh dear what in the heck have I gotten myself into! I have spent a lot of time reading some of my good friends blogs and find myself laughing out loud and thinking "why am I not doing this for my family...what a great keepsake!" ....flash forward...reason number one- I am crazy busy! I teach full time, have 2 children that are involved in more than one activity, a husband who can work crazy hours with his sales job and I never seem to know when he will be home...did I mention I teach full time? Not just this 8-4 type of hours either...I am there as early as I can be (usually by 7:30 after I have dropped off 1 child to daycare and the other to Middle School....I teach an after school group on Tuesday and Thursdays that ends at 5:15 but usually I am out of there by 5:30 on a good day. I also have a home that at some point in my schedule needs to be taken care of....thank god we have no pets (much to my children's dismay!). Oh then there is cooking, dishes, laundry, correcting papers, answering emails that didn't get taken care of during the school day, having a conversation with my husband in passing to do any of the prior items and well some where in there I try to find time for myself...so here I sit at my computer at 10:14 pm...knowing full well I SHOULD be sleeping for 5 am comes VERY quickly and the treadmill is not the most forgiving thing if you are not fully awake when you step on! So I am going to try this blogging thing....not sure how long it will last....who knows - maybe this will become some what of a sanity keeper for me...after all - my children are asleep in their own beds- my husband is asleep on the coach ~ my home is quiet (minus the frickin' wind gusts outside). So lets give this thing a try......If nothing else it will be a good place for me to write down what I am thankful for each day, what struggles I may have faced- if I over came them or not, things I am looking forward to, and a way for my family and friends all around the world to be able to take a peek into our lives when we can't see them as often as we would like! Here goes nothing! (check back in a day or two....we'll see how it is going!)
